What is not to love about a fellow Troilo and Pugliese addict? For me as I once sat with her chatting while she DJ’d an after-party, we discussed Troilo and the idea of playing late Troilo, a brave move for any DJ. As I wandered away to leave her to her work the floor filled with a tanda of late Troilo that was delivered in a masterful way that only comes from a deep understanding of music.
It was sometime later when Olga first heard Irma and reported back that she was for her the best DJ of the event and as a fellow musician she felt her deep musicality intertwined throughout her set. Saturday afternoon as the craic from the day before is still like the warm embers of a fire in your bodies, we look forward to watching embraces melt together under her spell as she stokes the fires again with her delicate touch.
