Sunday Night in ExStasi 🙂
Max Stasi

We are delighted to welcome Max to close Garúa 2024 and I think he needs no introduction to anyone who is already invited to Garúa.

In his own words:

Max began dancing and collecting Tango music in 1999.

He started active Dj-ing in 2006; during this period, he has collaborated with most of the major Milongas in Northern Italy  and many venues across Europe.  He regularly DJs at international Marathons/Encuentros/Festivals/Milongas in Europe, North America and Asia.

To date he has animated around 1200 events in about 20 countries worldwide.

The backbone of his work, organized in Tandas y Cortinas, is represented by the music of the golden age, with frequent detours towards the orchestras of the Guardia Vieja and of the early 1950s.

For Max every event is different and unique. All tandas and transitions are improvised based on observation of the dancers, shaping the rhythmic and emotional energy of the dancefloor.

Max’s other big passion is wine, and he likes to compare a DJ set to a great wine: Intense, Complex, Spicy, Harmonic … and after every sip (tanda) … you want immediately another one.

Favourite Food: This actually was a shock, as a man who is the second DJ on the ticket who is also a wine connisseur. Max’s favourite dish is the Irish version of lasagne with French fries and a salad on the same plate. He says it is alchemic genius, maybe he isn’t Italian !
